Lunchroom Information – 2006-2007

Dear Parents,

We are trying again to offer a variety of items in the lunchroom.  Students may bring their lunches and purchase drinks and chips from the kitchen, or they may order from items listed below.  We have tried to keep prices as reasonable as possible.

The following are only available on Fridays:  (after Labor Day)

Hamburgers               $1.25

Cheeseburgers           $1.50

French Fries         (1st-3rd)          $ .50

 (4th-12th)         $ .75

On “hamburger day” other lunch items will not be sold; however, snack items and drinks are always available.  We will begin serving hamburgers on Friday, September 8th.

Students in elementary school are not allowed to bring carbonated beverages in their lunch, especially in a thermos.  There is too much danger of the can or thermos exploding from pressure when being jostled around coming to school.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Meal tickets are available in the office.  They have a value of $10 or $20 in punches.  Mrs. Griffin will keep the meal tickets for grades 1-6 in the lunchroom so they will not be lost.  Students in grades 7-12 may pay for a charge when picking up their lunch at the kitchen window.  Regular bills will be sent to those who charge or it will be added to their account.

Throughout the year on a bi-weekly basis, the Senior Class will be offering pizza lunches to raise money for their senior trip.  Notes will be sent home regarding any special lunch.  Hot lunches for 1-6 grades will be available periodically.

Microwaves are available if you would like to send “leftovers” or something that needs to be warmed up for lunch.  Lunches may not be put in the refrigerator as there is limited space.  Please place them in insulated bags if they need to be kept cool.

Thank you for your attention to these matters.  If you have any questions, please call the office (386-8161).
